Pick-up
The World Acoustic Microphone Pick-ups are sonically the best that we've
found for mic'ing a hammered dulcimer. The frequency response is
totally flat from 0hz to 1g/hz. This translates into a
beautiful, true acoustic sound without the usual coloration of tone that
is associated with most contact type microphones. In all environments
where we've had the chance to test it, it is also almost totally free
of feedback associated with most microphones, whether internal or
external. This pick-up requires a pre-amp. Several different
ones will work well, the most noted being the Baggs Para-Acoustic Pre-Amp,
but the Pick-up The World Pre-Amp does a very nice job as well. |

Pick-Up
The World Pre-Amp Power Plug Pre-Amp - Nine volt internal battery power is
switched on by plugging into the output jack. A smooth even taper volume
control is mounted on the top of the metal case. Plugs into jack or endpin
jack. Turning down the volume control all the way allows the unit to be
unplugged for switching instruments without turning down the volume on any
other equipment.
