We are excited and pleased to introduce our alliance with talented
woodworker, good friend and dulcimer player, Mike Reese. We have been
working together for several months to completely redesign and
rethink dulcimer stands. In short, we feel Mike has successfully overcome
most all the common complaints we've heard or experienced regarding
dulcimer stands and their adjustability. We are proud introduce
the totally new and innovatively
designed MR/J&K
We long ago tired of struggling to adjust our dulcimer stand. We hated the knobs and the marring and scarring they leave on the wood. Over the years, we've tried new and innovative ideas, but none performed as well as we hoped. The moving parts never worked smoothly. No matter how tight or loose we made the various screws, nuts and knobs, adjustment was always a struggle. If you are experiencing frustration every time you set up your stand, then we're sure you'll be pleased with Mike's revolutionary new design. |

This is the new GrandStand®. If you notice, there are no knobs to adjust and the only exposed hardware are the piano hinge and trunk stay on the lower stretcher. The smooth, flat surfaces allow the GrandStand tofold up more compactly than stands with knobs. The GrandStand will lay flat in your vehicle, making packing a breeze. | ||
| Mike's unique sliding lock is spring loaded and replaces all the knobs previously needed to secure the stand in a raised position. The GrandStand® is designed to easily adjust to any position using two fingers, one to slide back the latch, the other to lift or lower the height or tilt of the instrument rest. Simply release the sliding lock and the spring loaded return assures a positive lock. |

| The height adjustment reference holes are drilled in 1/2" increments, allowing fine height adjustment, regardless of your height. This stand is designed to easily adjust to fit anyone from 3 feet short, up to 6' 6" tall | |||

| The Slider is crafted from contrasting Exotic woods, such as Purpleheart, Rosewood, Goncalo Alves and others. This latch assembly is easily replaced should it ever become damaged. In fact, each part of the stand is easily replaceable, thus assuring you years of trouble free service. |

| The aluminum track replaces the old style slot and screw that never seemed to work correctly. Now you can enjoy "bind free" angle adjustment, from completely flat to a 45 degree incline |

The GrandStand®
uses a Piano Hinge for strength and durability.
The GrandStand® also incorporates a trunk stay to help prevent the stand from accidentally closing if bumped, as well as adding to the stability to the stand. |

| The bottom of each leg is sealed with epoxy to prevent moisture from leaching into the wood. Each leg has a non-marring, non-skidding rubber foot to protect your floors and help keep the stand open, should it be bumped from the side |
